The top wheel is just there for stabilization.

EBS 260 we offer black, white, yellow, light blue and red
Can I use multiple colors with a printer?
Unfortunately, the printers can only withstand using one ink color and type of ink for the life of the printer. In the beginning, we tried mixing colors and types, but the printers almost all ended up having print quality issues. The engineers figured out that each printer, even if cleaned well, cannot withstand multiple colors or pigments, so if you needed multiple colors, you’d need multiple units
Do you have UV durable inks?
YES! EBS offers UV durable inks to help it mark items like Metal, or concrete that would go outside and are exposed to elements like snow or the sun and help it last for extended periods of time. We wouldn’t be able to give exact time frames as it would be impossible to test on every surface and every climate in the world.
We offer black, white, yellow, and light blue as available colors for UV durable.

Can I connect to an ERP system?
YES! The EBS 250 you would need the fully loaded model, but we have the API or communication protocol so you could have someone in IT write code or a front end to have it send data from your ERP system. The EBS 260 has a similar way to do this as well.
EBS DOES NOT have someone who can do this, so it would be the responsibility of the customer to create this. But we do have the documents to give you if anyone wants to take a look at it.

Can I print barcodes?
The EBS 250 cannot print barcodes. The EBS 260 can print barcodes, but they are not made to print barcodes. There are certain criteria for a barcode that needs to be met for it to work and be readable. The edge definition, space between the black and white, and contrast of the material. Due to this, it can be difficult to print 1D codes on a lot of surfaces. It works best on metal, cardboard, or paper, but would not work on like Concrete. 2D codes need much less readability, so I would recommend 2D QR codes if at all. You cannot choose the size of the barcodes, whatever information you give it, dictates the size. Because of this, the 1D codes tend to be quite long. I always recommend testing this out before buying if they want to see if it works.
Can I scan barcodes and print data?
Answer: Yes! the EBS 250, you would need to have the fully loaded model. But both units can pair with a Bluetooth Barcode scanner, scan the barcode, and print the human readable! We recommend the Datalogic GBT 4500 unit (we don’t sell it, you can get it anywhere online) but we can troubleshoot and support this model. Theoretically it can pair with any BT barcode scanner, but we can’t support any one besides the Datalogic GBT 4500 scanner. The 260 can also scan the barcode, and print the barcode as well.
Can I print on round or curved surfaces?
Yes! Both units can print on round, or curved surfaces. We offer optional stabilizers for both units that can help print on rounded or curved surfaces.
